Our Staff

Rudy L. Paul, MS, PT, CSCS is a Manual and Sports Medicine Physical Therapist who specializes in treating patients with sports related injuries. In addition, he has made it his business to help direct the sports performance training of aspiring athletes.

He moved to the New Tampa area in 2003 and for the last several years has been treating and training sports medicine patients and athletes for improved athletic performance in the areas of golf, hockey, tennis, volleyball, soccer, baseball and lacrosse and football at the Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club as well as the Hunter’s Green Country Club.

Mr. Paul was born in Seymour, Indiana and was raised in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse. He was recognized as a Scholar Athlete graduate while attending UW-LaCrosse and a earned Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education, Coaching Competitive Athletics and Art Education.

Mr. Paul was a nationally recognized Division III District Collegiate All-American athlete while attending UW-LaCrosse and competed in the pole vault, javelin and decathlon in track & field and a wide receiver and punter in football. He also completed his Graduate studies while coaching at UW-LaCrosse and earned his Master’s Degrees specializing in both Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology. He coached for four years at UW-LaCrosse where the university teams were three-time NCAA National Champions in Track & Field and conference champions in Football.

Mr. Paul continued coaching for several more years, including stints with the University of Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, WI and at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT while his wife, Carol C. Paul, PAC, attended Yale University for a Surgical Residency.

Mr. Paul graduated with his Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver and earned post-graduate certificate training in North American Manual Therapy and spine rehabilitation. After graduation, Mr. Paul moved to the ski mountains of Vail, Colorado where he owned and operated three Sports Medicine Performance & Rehabilitation centers. Mr. Paul’s specialty practice ranged from the treatment of the sports-related injuries of the United States Ski & Snowboard athletes to the post-operative rehab. & performance enhancement training of World class skiers & professional football, tennis and golf athletes. He was associated with the rehabilitation care of patients immediately after surgical intervention with Drs. Richard Steadman & Richard Hawkins of the world-renowned Steadman-Hawkins Clinic.

To better serve his clients, Mr. Paul became nationally certified as a Certified Golf Therapist and trained with Paul Callaway, the former Director of Physical Therapy for the PGA Tour. He has also mentored with William Breland, PT and PGA Champion’s Tour Player of GoLo Golf of Fort Worth,Texas. and successfully become Certified with the Titleist Performance Institute. In addition, he is a USPTR Tennis Professional and an internationally Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Mr. Paul is married to Carol Christensen Paul, a surgical Physician’s Assistant working with the orthopaedic surgery division of the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa and has two competitive daughters, Kylie, 18 y.o. and Gabriella, 16 y.o. (volleyball, tennis and pole vault) He is a member of Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club, is a competitive tennis player and an avid golfer with a single digit USGA handicap.

Currently, Mr. Paul’s burning desire is to operate his 24 Hour medically-supervised RPM Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Clinic in the New Tampa and be poised and ready to serve the better than 80 million Baby Boomers (and their children) that will be retiring in the next five to ten years.
